HISTORY;;

Born on Rayla lands to a pair of retired knights, Brianna is the youngest child in a large family. Raised among several brothers, none too far from her own age, she quickly absorbed their habits as her own and learned more of how to be a little boy than how to be a child at all. She got into mudfights and snowball battles with the best of them, and was often a mass of scrapes and scabs as she grew up. It never bothered her parents much; her father was a proud soldier, and her mother as boyish and wild as Brianna herself.

But, growing older, it started to bother Brianna. She enlisted for service with Rayla young, and for the years before she caught her pegasus, she watched the ladies of Rayla come and go. There were no real courtiers in Rayla, or anywhere in Korin, but that didn’t matter. The other soldiers, the advisors, the pegasus knights; they all had a certain grace to them that Brianna realized she was sorely lacking. Previously bossy and confident, Brianna shrank inwardly to become an anxious, overeager girl. She was still boyish, and still wild when in her comfort zone, but she spent so much time out of her comfort zone that it was almost like she was an entirely different person.

Catching Eadyth changed little. Brianna was naturally gifted with a sword and spear, and picked up on the maneuvers required by pegasus knights in the ranks with ease. But she always felt insecure around the other girls regardless, and while many of them were out scouting or performing official Rayla business, she volunteered for messenger work or other simple jobs that wouldn’t get her in trouble.

It was really a fluke that she ended up neck-deep in the Hanmor/Nasen conflict at all. The other knights were all busy with their respective tasks -- some had been sent to Gathre, some to scout the countryside, many just to scout the Rayla lands for rebels. Rhiannon, one of Lady Eve’s closest advisors, gathered up a small group of the people that were left -- mostly fresh girls, barely out of training, and Brianna was one of them. And together they plunged into the conflict, all of them serving as Ree’s cover so she could find out what was going on behind the curtains of the war.

She was found out. Brianna never knew how it happened, just that Ree told them all that they had to get out at once, and they obeyed. They were nearly stopped by Lord Simon’s men more than once, but Ree fought her way through and, somehow, Brianna found her strength and covered the back. She helped get the entire troop out of the war mostly unscathed, and though her strength seemed to vanish as quickly as it had manifested in the first place, she was proud of herself. And Ree promised to mention her to Lady Eve, even though Brianna blushed and stammered that it wouldn’t be necessary.

And then, the Lord of Kasrae was reported to be under attack.

An assassination attempt, the rumors said, and Lady Eve was quick to act. She began making plans, making arrangements for what had to be done. She couldn’t afford to send any real troops to Kasrae, but Lara begged to go to help her father, and she needed a bodyguard.

And the bodyguard that Lady Eve found for her was Brianna.



PERSONALITY;;

Made awkward by never quite growing out of her teenage anxieties, Brianna tends to second-guess her mannerisms fairly often. She often feels that she isn’t working quite hard enough or doing quite as much as she should, and tends to be a bit overeager as a result. Trying too hard, stretching herself too thin, Brianna does all of it and tends to take poor care of her own needs as a result.

When around people she knows well she relaxes more and becomes more of her real self -- less overbearing, more confident and a little wild in her ways. She’s been trained by her brothers to be an unholy terror, and while she’s not as bad as she once was, she still maintained some of those instincts.

She takes her work extremely seriously and takes failure at it very badly. She’s only rarely had to deal with failure in her work, but whenever she has, she’s gotten depressed or, occasionally, angry. She closes off from other people in this position, preferring they don’t get to see her vulnerable, but becomes unapproachable and more than a little insufferable as a result.



APPEARANCE;;

Tall and skinny, with tight-packed muscle on a thin frame, Brianna has long, bright pink hair and bright blue eyes. She’s more limbs than torso, and most of her height is in her legs. She moves a little gracelessly and tends to look awkward at the best of times and miserably out of place at the worst of them.
